Tide was still a bit high when I got there so I walked a good way upwind where the shorebreak wasn't so bad and stayed out for an hour until the tide had dropped. Rained for the first hour but then dried up and the wind got a bit stronger and the waves improved for the second hour. Great first session of the year.
